Dipl.-Eng. Prof. Raul César Ferreira, writer and graduated in naval construction engineering by the Regia Scuola Navale Superiore di Ingigneria in Genoa, Italy, joined the Portuguese Navy where he stayed until he embraced the activity of Official Industrial Property Attorney. Raul César Ferreira (Herd.), Lda. began as an office founded in 1929 by Dipl.-Eng. Prof. Raul César Ferreira. In 1959, when he died, Raul César Ferreira (Herd.), Lda. became a partnership. The Official Industrial Property Attorney, Dipl.- Eng. António de Arantes e Oliveira was in charge of the technical direction of Raul César Ferreira (Herd.), Lda. until 1973, who from said date until December 1999 was succeeded by Dipl.-Eng. João de Arantes e Oliveira. Dipl.-Eng. João de Arantes e Oliveira was the founder of ACPI – Portuguese Association of the Industrial Property Consultants, which represents Portuguese industrial property professionals. He was the President of said association until 1999, year of his death. At present, the Raul César Ferreira (Herd.), Lda. technical direction is under the responsibility of the Official Industrial Property Attorney Mr. Pedro Alves Moreira. Raul César Ferreira (Herd.), Lda. is nowadays one of the leading companies in Portugal in the industrial property field.
